TERRA BALANCE - light that calms the space
There are spaces where light is just the beginning. Modern interiors, offices, studios, or meeting places are increasingly open and full of movement. They combine different functions and different rhythms of the day. In such spaces, comfort depends not only on how we see the space but also on how we hear it.
From this observation came Terra Balance, a new acoustic fixture by ILLU, where light and silence become equal elements of the space.
It has been designed as a calm, geometric form suspended above a meeting place. Its surface both diffuses light and absorbs sound, introducing a subtle balance to the interior. As a result, the fixture not only illuminates the space but also helps to quieten it.
This is particularly important in work environments, where conversations, concentration, and creativity intertwine throughout the day. The acoustic lamp acts like a soft boundary in the space. It visually organizes the interior while improving acoustic comfort and allowing you to focus on what truly matters.
The form remains simple and clear. The minimalist geometry and natural character of the materials make the fixture harmoniously coexist with the interior architecture. It can appear in both office spaces and intimate conversation or meeting zones, where light and silence create an atmosphere conducive to focus.
Terra also fits beautifully in the tranquillity of a home environment.
In the prepared visualisations, we show Terra Balance in various spatial contexts. Over the table, in conversation areas, in open working interiors. In each of these scenarios, the fixture works similarly. It does not impose with its form but subtly organises the space.
Because good lighting never exists in isolation from its setting. And increasingly, it requires silence as well. It was born from this very need.
